BIG Beautiful Updo {Prom/Wedding Ready}

 

I LOVE this updo. Its one of my favorites. Its not so big that it can only be used for a prom or wedding, but still beautiful enough to be used for such an occasion. This style really needs to have the hair pre-curled.I'm not sure you can tell that it is pre-curled in the video, but it totally is. Days 69-73

I seriously can not believe how long Beans hair is getting! It seems to have grown very quickly. I have no complaints. I am loving having long hair to play in again. 

Day 69- I left here with a half waterfall braid just on the one side and some very pretty curls that I did with a flat iron. We really brushed through the curls though. I didn't want them too curly.

Sorry I didn't get this posted on Friday. Because of the things happening in Connecticut I couldn't help but feel really overwhelmed by those events. My heart just aches for those kids. What a horrible situation. Sadly this will change most of those kids forever. Halo Video

This tutorial kind of jumped ahead on our to-do list. I've had a handful of people message me about doing a tutorial on this hairstyle for Christmas this year, so I had to make sure it got done before the big day.

Days 59-63

Day 59- We love doing a double braids. I'm sure I've said it before, but I don't generally love the side pony, but I can handle it if its low. Tutorial for this one can be found here.

Day 60- My friend at the salon was painting her nails with cute chevron patterns the other day and it made me think about doing them for hair design. So I gave it a go. This was my first attempt. I love it!!!

Day 52- 58

I don't know about you, but this braid reminds me of those old banana clips. Do you remember banana clips? I used to have a banana clip in every color. So honestly this braid is WAY more fun and beautiful than a banana clip.

This tutorial is a super cute easy one. If you have ever seen The Wizard of Oz you might remember Dorthy's hair being done like this for most of the movie while she is skipping along the yellow brick road. Dorthy has longer hair, so this is a little different, but you could easily spiral the ends of the hair if you have longer hair to work with that we do.

Days 43-46

It was another short week for my kids. So we just had four days of school this week. Can you believe that next week we will hit our half way mark for 100 days of hair styles. Are you seeing any trends? Which style do you see us using most often?

Day 43- We just did our knots on day 43 and pulled them into a side ponytail. She was wanting a side ponytail, so we gave it a go. Its pretty cute.

Happy Halloween

Cutting Bangs Tutorial

The other day I was trimming Beans hair and she asked if she could have bangs. I try to let her make her own hair decisions, so I said sure! I'm a little worried about daily styling, but she wants to learn to use the flat iron. (That scares me too.) So I have given her my mini flat iron and she is practicing on one of my old heads.This will totally be a good thing. She is just growing up.

Days 33-37
